Goodness! Where do I begin with this one? There's just so much to tell you about. First and foremost, you probably want to know that it has 73' of frontage on Dake Lake on the Chain O' Lakes in Waupaca. The landscaped lot is over 1/4 of an acre, offering more privacy and more land than what is typical of many lots on the Chain. Chas Reuter, an architect from the Appleton area, designed the home and if you're familiar with his work, I probably just REALLY got your attention. One of the things that was very important to the owners when they were building the home was to have it designed in such a manner as to have a view of the lake from every room. I think you'll find that they accomplished this goal very nicely. Although I won't be able to do this home justice with my description, let me at least tell you a little about it. The center of the home is an open concept foyer, living room and kitchen. The living room is raised and has Bruce Hardwood flooring. The fireplace can be enjoyed from both the living room side and the kitchen side. If you like to cook and once you're finished drooling over the living room, you’ll want to focus your attention on the kitchen, which has a DCS gourmet professional cook stove and salamander broiler plus a restaurant quality exhaust fan to go along with it. You won't lack for workspace or cabinet space here and of course it has great views of the lake too. One end of the home consists of the master bedroom suite. It has a 15' x 18' bedroom with a tray ceiling, a 7' x 13' walk-in closet and a 15' x 17' bath with a Jacuzzi tub, shower, vanity area and separate area for the commode. The other end of the main level has another bedroom, another full bath and a laundry room. If you have a hobby that takes up a lot of room, you're going to really appreciate the next room I'm going to tell you about. When you exit the home on this end, you have to go through a 24' x 34' heated shop to get to the attached 3+ car garage. This room has entrance doors to the house, the garage, the basement and outside. Plus it has a garage size door that opens to the garage and another opening of the same size on the lakeside that has been fully screened. There's lots of cabinetry and a handy sink. Even if you don't have a hobby, I bet you could find all kinds of things to store here! The walkout, lower level is partially finished. You can get to the finished family room via the living room or into one of the unfinished areas via the workshop. The spacious family room has a Lopi woodstove and a door leading to the 13' x 39' patio. There is also another full bathroom on this level. There is of course the unfinished areas for all of the mechanicals, but there's also another 21' x 26' unfinished area on the lakeside of the home that offers many possibilities. Another bedroom (it has a cedar lined closet)? A game room? I guess it all depends on your specific needs. Besides the large patio that I mentioned, there is also an 11' x 22' deck that can be accessed from the kitchen/dining area or from steps up from the patio. Underneath the deck is a screened in porch. If you want to live on the Chain, you need to look at this home.
